🎵 2022 Advent Album Update

I hope you’re doing well this Lenten season. Death is turning to life before our eyes - Hart planted some flowers in the cold dirt last weekend and they’re already starting to sprout!

From a similarly dormant newsletter, I’m pleased to announce:

We’re recording an album!

I’m teaming up with singer-songwriter David Belt and several other musicians from All Saints Dallas to make a music adaptation of The King is Coming! And we’re starting a Kickstarter campaign!

Initially, I expected I’d make a Kickstarter for other books in the series, but I’ve decided to build out the scope for the first book and explore what the whole series will look like as a whole. I’m increasingly convinced that music is an integral part of Beginner’s Apprenticeship!

The Kickstarter Target

We’re looking to raise $8,400 by April 24 to record, mix, and master 10 songs and 5 spoken tracks.

We’ll aim to release the album for Advent 2022.

Why a Kickstarter?

As Lent approaches Palm Sunday, I’m reminded of my dependence on God in all things (my effort against sugar has fallen far short of my goal to fast). But with humility I have the honor to receive God’s grace and rely on Him fully!

Similarly, with humility, I’m asking you to consider supporting this Kickstarter campaign, and I’m honored to share in the task of teaching our children ways to pray and follow Jesus.
